Home for the elderly Dom Viharnik is located in a pleasant Alpine environment near the tourist centre of Kranjska Gora municipality. The home’s surroundings are carefully designed to allow its residents safe daily walks. Dom Viharnik continues the architectural and content design of household communities of Home Pegazov dom in Rogaška Slatina. Two groups are dedicated to the residents affected by dementia, three are inhabited by vital individuals and there are two nursing groups. The residents can arrange their rooms according to their preferences, partially with their own furniture.
Numerous activities and activities under the guidance of the physiotherapist and the occupational therapist are organized for an active and diverse spending of days. Every weekday a doctor is present in the home and regularly also a psychiatrist. For the cultural life of the residents is well taken care of.
Because the groups are small, individual habits and needs can be greatly considered and special attention is given to mutual respect, kindness and pleasant atmosphere.
Dom Viharnik places great emphasis on nursing care for people affected by dementia and on the field of palliative care. All rooms in dementia groups have exits to a protected outdoor area.
Flatlets and assisted living apartments are available to the residents who want high-standard living conditions, care and nursing. However, a short stay in the home is also possible.
